The new Medicai program is called the Healthy Adult Opportunity Program and applies only to adults whose coverage is optional for states, CMS Administrator Seema Verma tells reporters. No state is required to participate.
It will be a block grant-based program. The grants will either be either per enrollee or based on a total program budget number. Verma says Tennessee waiver request is different than the program she outlined. That means it appears OK could be first in queue to try this.
Stitt will join Verma and other federal officials in a press conference at 930 am.
