We’ve seen a lot of governors changing rules and policies because of stories coming out of our Local Reporting Network.

We think it’s a big deal when our journalism makes a real-world impact, so we want to tell you about a few examples (THREAD) 👇
2/ @CTMirror's @jacquelinerabe showed how Connecticut lets rich communities keep low income people of color OUT.

@GovNedLamont just announced a potential fix: If wealthy towns want transportation funding, they’ll need more affordable housing units.

3/ Following reporting from @postandcourier's @joey_cranney on abuses of power by magistrate judges, SC Gov. @henrymcmaster pledged to require magistrates applying for new terms to disclose their disciplinary records.

4/ After @pohl_jason of @sacbee_news and @ryangabrielson found unchecked violence and abuses of power in California’s county jails, Gov. @GavinNewsom called for more accountability and better oversight.
