This is not the message Joe should be going into the caucuses with. First, as it's not true (only to the extent Hunter was being an idiot and creating an appearance of conflict he could've avoided, even if he did nothing illegal), and second, because it's playing on Trump's turf.
PS/ Of course no man should be put in the position of having to attack his son, which is why I'm not saying Biden should criticize Hunter's decision-making, but rather that he should be *avoiding this topic altogether*. Otherwise he could seem dishonest in saying "nothing wrong."
PS2/ Better said, this is something you let surrogates deal.with. One reason I say that is I've not spoken to one Democrat who's not privately f*cking livid at Hunter Biden for doing nothing illegal but nevertheless screwing his dad over by chasing paper in a way that looked bad.
PS3/ I agree with those who say Joe isn't obligated to put a leash on his kid. That's not how parenting works. By the same token Joe *has* to know many will be thinking he should've said to Hunter, "Stay the f*ck out of Ukraine, you idiot!" Those are just the facts on the ground.
