Exactly. And I think Michael Lind also put it well recently, that liberals think they're right *and* think they're moral, so those who disagree with them aren't just wrong, or dumb, they're also morally deficient
The full interview between Michael Lind and @aaronsibarium is very much worth reading. I know some people don't like Lind's ideas, but that's all the more reason to read it. Plus, Aaron is a great interviewer

@aaronsibarium This is a great line from Michael Lind, and it's why all the "people are actually better off than they were, if only they realized it" arguments are as wrong as they are. They miss something rather fundamental (and, I would like to think, obvious) about human nature
