Around the same time that Ukraine was seeking military aid from the U.S.: two associates of former Energy Secy Perry were busy working on securing oil and gas deals from the Ukrainians. And they succeeded.

The docs reveal Perry's pick Bleyzer was in touch with Brian McCormack - Perry's chief of staff, and the one who was directed by Trump to defy congressional subpoenas, as far back as July 2017.
Notable: in email from July 2017: an Energy Dept official requests Bleyzer meet separately w/McCormack at a.m. mtg before a previously scheduled mtg for Bleyzer, Andrea Yuzon, special assistant at Energy Dept & Wells Griffith, the WH adviser on energy ordered to defy subpoenas.
Bleyzer's email confirming the solo meeting with Brian McCormack, Perry's former chief of staff, before the meeting with energy officials, including WH adviser on Energy Wells Griffith.

These documents present several new questions -- and reinforce old ones-- about Rick Perry's level of involvement/discussions with those at the WH about burgeoning, lucrative energy deals for US in Ukraine.
It's almost as if this evidence would be useful in a trial of some sort.
