A small anecdote. Earlier this week, we were talking about the news on NPR and my nephew says “but Mike will fix it, right?”

And I said, huh? At first I didn’t understand because it was out of context. But turns out he had seen several Mike 2020 ads while sitting at McDonalds /2
If a 9 yr old can read TV ads (the sound was off) and get the basic idea, and remember it when churning through other political content he is exposed to, the ads are good. /3

So this story is wild: assassination of Malcolm X is under investigation again because of this Netflix doc.

BTW doc has a somewhat frustrating narrative (splits between first person and not), but has excellent historical material and themes for today.

One take-away from the doc: everyone loves the truth until it has something to do with them and their world, and then, not so much. Look forward! Move on!
There’s an amazing scene where a totally floored Cory Booker is asked if he knows the alleged assassin of Malcolm X is in one of his campaign videos.

Honestly it was worth watching the whole series just for that.

Yes, it’s outrageous that an anti-Trump, Collusion Truther awaiting Mueller Time ended up as the Jury Foreman
But we need to know more, because there could be many reasons for this:

—Stone’s legal team didn’t properly try to strike the juror

—or if they did, the judge overruled (possibly abusing her discretion)

—juror lied so Stone couldn’t strike

A mistrial isn’t likely - yet

Rainy day in DC and there’s a long line outside the federal courthouse where Roger Stone’s trial will pick up in under an hour.

Stone’s legal team just hopped in the back of the line, looking displeased. Alt right activist Milo Yiannopoulos just got in. @CourthouseNews

Good morning! Roger Stone's trial is set to pick up speed today with a jury in the box and opening arguments from both sides.

Stone has pleaded not guilty to lying to Congress, witness tampering and obstruction of justice. @CourthouseNews
Yesterday was a bizarre episode of jury selection with Stone going home sick saying he had food poisoning.

Check out the list of potential witnesses (wouldn't hold your breath for Clinton, Assange testifying) or names that may pop up at trial for a look at where we're heading:
Stone’s back today, looking healthier, accompanied by his wife and daughter.

When he left yesterday he was sweating and clutching a Gatorade bottle.
