Medicare STARS rating - lies. What does it mean? PCPs like myself, when in the insurance based world, were penalized if 80% of Medicare patients did not have a screening test. It says NOTHING about how good a plan is. /1
If 80% of my @Highmark female Medicare patients age 65-75 didn’t get a mammograms. I was penalized. Have to keep the ⭐️ 🌟 score above 80%! It has nothing to do with quality. /2
If 80% of all #medicare patients age 65-75 didn’t have their colonoscopy or other accepted colon cancer screening, I was dinged. Gotta force people to have testing or face having money withheld from my pay /3

No, @realDonaldTrump, #MedicareForAll doesn't end Medicare for seniors or "take away benefits"! Rather, it *expands* Medicare to everyone -- increasing young and healthy in the insurance pool -- which allows for huge *improvement* and *expansion* of benefits. A better Medicare!
No, you haven't, @realDonaldTrump. Your administration is suing to end pre-existing condition protections. You have also allowed short-term junk "insurance" plans -- with no ACA protections -- to be sold again. These discriminate against the sick, women, and anyone who needs care

“Designers should…” I was attracted to to applied arts because they require thinking outside the box. Design is motivated out of an desire for liberation. Making sure that what we do frees us and others and does not imprison us more is tough enough as a “should” for designers.
I am not saying every designer should aim at freeing others. There are different kinds of design and within each discipline has different great ways to work well and do well. Making sure design frees and does not imprison is what made most sense to me in my field and situation.
What I can say for sure is that the longer I design the harder it find it. Maybe, as a writer you tell me “Same!” To me, writing gets easier. Running gets easier. Cooking gets easier. Designing gets harder and harder. Not all of it, not technically. But at its core.
