#AndrewSabisky appears to have a long record of engagement with the alt-right, and enthusiasm for some extremely racist ideas and movements.
You don't get appointed as an adviser to Downing Street without thorough vetting.
So either the vetting failed...

I'm really, really hoping the vetting failed.
Given his distinctive name, and how easy it has been for journalists to find a trove of his racist musings, you have to wonder how government vetting could have failed this badly.
Could it be that he was just the kind of "weirdo and misfit" Cummings was looking for?

There's a tendency on some parts of the left:
Instead of reaching out, saying, "I think you may be wrong, here's why", people like this denounce you as an irredeemable traitor.
I don't get everything right. I'm always prepared to listen. But this attitude is really offputting.
For what it's worth, I'm not voting for any Labour leadership candidate. I'm not a member of any political party. I'm not completely sure who I would vote for if I was. I kept out of it, until I was put on the spot on a TV programme. I have respect for all 3.
But the wider point is this: there's truth in the saying "the right looks for converts, the left looks for traitors."
On the left, we constantly talk about unity and solidarity.
What this should mean is paying more attention to what brings us together than to what sets us apart.

My friend and hero @GretaThunberg came round to ours today, and we had a wonderful and inspiring three hours talking about every aspect of the climate emergency and how to confront it. I feel even more determined than I was before.

@GretaThunberg I've seen some trolling in my time, but some of the responses to these photos are off the scale. Some people clearly feel deeply threatened by a gifted, highly intelligent and extremely effective young woman.

AmIM used to be Identity Evropa.

Identity Evropa was supposed to be the hipster nazi movement that would successfully mainstream radical white supremacism.

Thanks to researchers documenting their extremism, they're depleted and pulling thirsty little two-person prop stunts.
Kate Smith, for those who don't know, famously sang "God Bless America," but also some cute songs like "Pickaninny Heaven ("Pickaninny" is a derogatory term for small black children).

The lyrics to that song include:
"Haven’t you been told of the place where the good little pickaninnies go?

I’ve just been there so I ought to know

Great big watermelons roll around and get in your way

In the pickaninny heaven."

Kate dedicated her rendition to "a lot of little colored chillen listening in."
