If you're thinking of pitching me a product to endorse be ready to answer the following:
1. Does it solve a problem? If no, abort.
2. Did you review the academic (yes, academic) literature around the problem space? You may be "solving" something that's been solved. 1/
3. What is your monetization model? I'm not an idiot and I'm reasonably competent at business. You have to make money. How will you? Have an answer or I'll assume you're planning something Facebook'ey (e.g. underhanded).
4. Why me? Why am I the person you're coming to? 2/
5. How would the product/service benefit my followers? That's who I'm marketing to, so I don't really care how it helps someone else.
6. What's your user base? Who else is currently endorsing it? Who else have you asked? 3/
7. What's in it for me? People get mad when I ask this, but I don't endorse products I haven't researched and in most cases used. That means you're taking my time to do the research. It's not "just an RT." Be up front about your value proposition AND mine. 4/
8. How can I get a license to use the product? If the answer is "buy it" then you've officially missed the boat. Your product could cure male pattern baldness and I wouldn't buy it to study it for an endorsement. The more difficult you make this, the less likely I am to care. 5/
This probably doesn't apply to you and that's great. I'm really tweeting the thread so I have a source to link to. With RSA coming up it's been silly season with "can you help a brother out?"

If you can answer these, then maybe. Otherwise, hard no. 6/6
