Ques 2 - is there a plan now to make it stop, or did POTUS tell DNI/USG to stand down and allow the aid to him and his campaign continue?

3/The President appears to be taking aid from Russia again and firing people who are exposing it.
He's shut down the FEC and prevented simple bi-partisan election security bills - including ones which would have automatically sanctioned Russia for their actions - from passing.

Surely preventing the US government from shutting down a Russian operation to aid his re-election has to be a bridge too far even for Senate GOPers.
