If everything in Puranas is a Myth .....

Then why world's largest particle physics lab CERN has Shiva's 'Nataraj' statue ?
That statue represents the cycle of the universe, from its birth to its death . The dance represents creativity at the time of creation, fire in shiva's hand represents destruction of the universe. The demon like figure at his feet represents ignorance and shiva himself
represents emptiness r nothingness. So,t universe comes from nothingness d goes back into it..since this agrees well with modern cosmological theories of t fate of t universe ( a.k.a t big bounce theory),CERN saw it fit that t dancing nataraja is a good symbolism for the theory
Physicist Fritjof Capra further explained in The Tao of Physics: “The Dance of Shiva symbolises the basis of all existence. At the same time, Shiva reminds us that the manifold forms in the world are not fundamental, but illusory and ever-changing.
Modern physics has shown that the rhythm of creation and destruction is not only manifest in the turn of the seasons and in the birth and death of all living creatures, but is also the very essence of inorganic matter."
Since the universe comes from emptiness and goes back into it and since shiva represents that nothingness , he is called as "Kala" bairava . Etymologically, Kala in Sanskrit means both time and space, and in several other indian languages
Kala means time, or it also means "black" which is synonymous with space. Bairava means beyond or to transcend...
So, since there exits some correspondence , CERN has this statue .
Also, Kali is derived from the same word which means "empty"
For confirmation of what I said, one can search " Carl Sagan's commentary on ancient Indian philosophy and how modern cosmology is based on it". Carl Sagan is an educator and an astrophysicist and author of "The Cosmos".
