@ZellaQuixote We found a total of eleven accounts graciously offering identical advice on the right words to say next time you see your ex. All were made in 2015 or 2016 and are automated 24/7 via Buffer with occasional iPhone tweets thrown in.
@ZellaQuixote Unsurprisingly, the "do you want to know the right words to say next time you see your ex?" tweet is far from the only repeated tweet in this botnet's repertoire. All tweets appear to be posted on all 11 accounts, usually multiple times.
@ZellaQuixote The mission of this botnet appears to be to promote a variety of websites that sell various advice/self-help books and videos for the oddly specific price of $47.
@ZellaQuixote Finally, we found some anomalies among the followers of these bots. The diagonal streaks in the plots indicate groups of accounts that followed in the reverse of the order they were created, a potential sign that the follow activity itself is artificial/coordinated.
