1. My dear Jack, you’ve got to pace yourself. You can’t take on too much of life at once. You can’t gourmandize on life. You’ll vomit life. Pace yourself. #Letr2Jack
2. Learn how to manage your day for example. Learn how to manage your workload. Workload requires management. Don’t push too hard so you don’t break down. Pace yourself. #Letr2Jack
3. Life will never be smooth and perfect. As you resolve one end of life another goes out of alignment. And there are many nodes. The reason life can’t be perfect at the local level is because there are too many factors at play. #Letr2Jack
4. Life is sometimes like driving on Lagos roads. You do all you can to avoid hitting someone but it doesn’t mean you won’t be hit. All you can do is try and avoid a collision. But other road users are coming at you from all sides. #Letr2Jack
5. In the same way you can’t self-regulate Lagos traffic, or the will, psychology or road ideology of other drivers so it is futile to seek to control life. Don’t forget that in the scheme of things you’re just a minor player. #Letr2Jack
6. A wise woman once gave me a piece of advice. She said the advice helped her handle depression. This is the advice: one day at a time. #Letr2Jack
7. I’m giving you the same advice – one day at a time. Stop worrying about tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. One day at a time. #Letr2Jack
8. If you have too much anxiety you may end up with a panic attack. You don’t want that. It’s a big medical issue. It’s why you need to take each day as it comes. #Letr2Jack
9. Put your best into your day but don’t forget you’re not a machine. If it gets too much take a break. A short break of say fifteen to thirty minutes can do wonders to the soul. It’s how you boost productivity. #Letr2Jack
10. If you can’t handle it drop it. Don’t force it. Don’t over-push your will. Willpower has a limit. Beyond a certain point you’ll break your mind. You honestly don’t want that either. #Letr2Jack
11. The pressures of life will always be there. It never stops, it never ends, life is always on. #Letr2Jack

13. Be careful about how you consume news. News, as defined, is generally bad news. It will put fear into you. Restrict what you consume. Take in healthy stuff. It’s not compulsory you swallow bad news. #Letr2Jack
14. Calm yourself down in the morning. That’s the point of prayer and meditation. They’re anxiety reducers. Calm down, the heavens will not fall. And if it falls you won’t need to worry since you’ll be dead, as will everyone else, so calm down! #Letr2Jack
15. You’re worrying about how you’re going to get money to get married. But you haven’t even found the girl! Stop worrying in advance. #Letr2Jack
16. I’m not saying don’t plan. Good planning takes some of the pressure off. What I’m saying is you don’t have the capacity to take on piled pressure. So, one thing at a time. #Letr2Jack
17. I know you’re in a hurry about life but much of life’s accomplishments have conditions precedent – something that needs to happen before something happens. #Letr2Jack
18. You can’t wish them away, so you have to learn patience. Patience is a virtue life forces on you. If you’re too impatient you’ll make mistakes. #Letr2Jack
19. How are you going to make it? Sincerely all you can do is apply yourself to life and its opportunities. Opportunities tend to be kind to the diligent. #Letr2Jack
20. No young man has a road map to the top. That’s expecting too much of a young man. What does he know, what can he know? He can only apply himself to life and opportunities. Time and chance happen to all. The then richest man in the world said so. His name is Solomon.
21. That’s not saying don’t be strategic or work hard. It’s not saying don’t plan either. But there’s still a place for time and chance. #Letr2Jack
22. And I’m not saying have a gambler’s mentality, or that you should just sit somewhere doing nothing hoping for a lucky break. It will never come. If you’re diligent at what you do the lucky break will find you. #Letr2Jack
23. In applying yourself don’t break your health however. If your health goes you’re practically useless. You become a liability. #Letr2Jack
