There are zero reasons why the estate tax on assets over a certain threshold shouldn't be 100%. Unless we are cool with building another Ancient Regime, with all that entails.

You'd have to explain to me how having a certain segment of society subject to an entirely different position in life based on nothing other than the accident of their birth is different from feudalism. Or, heck, even Jim Crow.
