LOL at conspiracy to commit espionage is a “political offense.”

Assange’s legal defense is so idiotic it’s hard to put into words but his supporters just eat it up because they are driven only by their emotions.
Assange in March 2010- “Hey Bradley Manning let me help you leak out of the SIPRnet and then help you cover it up so you don’t get caught.”

Feb 2020- “OMG this is political, I can’t believe I’m being charged now that I’m not in the embassy I stayed in to not get extradited.”
To summarize Assange’s defense against extradition for a clear crime he committed and then tried to evade prosecution by staying in an Ecuadorian Embassy for years before Trump was even elected is: “Orange Man Bad!” 🤦‍♀️

Rosenstein who appointed Mueller, oversaw the entire SC investigation and an entire team of DOJ officials had the same conclusions Barr did. Is Judge Walton going to accuse them of deliberately misleading as well?
Judge Walton is going to end up looking just as idiotic as Democrats did when Barr testified the first time and like Dems, he will have only brought the DOJ response that debunks his baseless theory on himself.
Oh and let’s not forget Democrats baseless conspiracy theory about collusion was already called “completely divorced from the facts” by a federal judge and the DNC’s lawsuit was thrown out.

Good news for those that suspected Graham was not going to do start deposition’s, he in fact is. This is great news!
Again the main thing Graham seeks to find is who the case agents told about the primary sub source debunking the dossier in Jan 2017. Graham like any reasonable person thinks it’s nearly impossible that this exculpatory evidence did not make it to the top of the FBI.
And again if we find out Stzork, McCabe, Comey knew we’re briefed that the sub source debunked the dossier in Jan 2017, it goes a long way in proving their intent behind all the actions they took Post election were malicious.

Wow imagine that the NYT’s fake story about the IC briefing to Congress turned out exactly how I called it when it came out. So predictable.
It was obvious from the beginning that it wasn’t Trump’s IC officials stating that “Russia was interfering for Trump” it was Democrats in Congress purposefully misrepresenting what the IC officials said and then leaking that to the NYT.
The IC officials did nothing wrong and got the original blame from both sides because of disgusting Dems misrepresenting the briefing and then leaking it to the NYT. Talk about undermining the IC they virtue signal about.

We stopped and started the day’s proceedings. Assange was given a head set so he can hear the proceedings while in the glass box. The prosecution and the defense are going to try and speak into the microphones. But the prosecutor doesn’t like that he has to bend over to speak.

If you are detained in plain violation of the Treaty, then on that autonomous test under Article 5 (UK HRA 1998), then you are not detained in a manner prescribed by law, you are detained in a manner which is arbitrary.

This is thread for Day 3 in Julian Assange’s extradition hearing.

Proceedings will focus on argument over whether allegations against Assange amount to “political offenses” under US-UK extradition treaty.

If so, likely improper for judge to approve extradition.
Here is main thrust of defense argument: Julian Assange is charged under US Espionage Act. All charges depend on alleged intent to obtain or disclose US state secrets in manner damaging to US government. These are “political offenses” and unlawful under extradition treaty.
I’ll insert a prediction: Since defense plans to argue espionage is a political offense, the prosecution will lamely argue Assange isn’t charged with espionage but simply charged with offenses under the Espionage Act. Much to add if this is uttered in any form
