I am officially done with the democratic party. I will never vote for another democrat as long as the party exists the way it does today. This election has been the most exhausting and invigorating experience. For me, it's time I move and organize outside of electoral politics.
I knew how this was going to end. I called it over a year ago. Democrats don't care if they beat Trump. They'd prefer to lose to him than win with Sanders. Their main priority is to stop progress and crush the movement of a people's party. I'm getting off this merry go round.
I've met some wonderful people via twitter and via organizing for the past few years. I'm thankful for the lessons I learned and the relationships I've built. Thank you to everyone that's helped me during my journey and I hope to continue to grow. It's been a real pleasure.
I'm not giving up hope. This election didn't break me, it redirected me. The democrats don't deserve my energy, they don't deserve my time, and they don't automatically deserve my vote. I can't deal with this abusive relationship anymore, I'm breaking up with you, I'm out. ✌️🏾
