Some #SuperTuesday2 thoughts: Biden wins big in Michigan, Mississippi & Missouri. He's getting the most diverse & large coalition of Democratic voters to come out for him. You don't go anywhere as a Democratic nominee without black communities & he got them. He has this. 1/
2020 is all about removing Trump from office. That's it. 65% of Dem voters say that is their #1 priority. Most aren't attached to Biden or Bernie but rather who they assume is most "electable." This explains last week where more than 40% made up their mind in the final days. 2/
Bernie built a very impressive base and coalition since 2016 but he didn't grow it with enough black voters and women voters. He won over the youth, who sadly don't show up to vote, and Latino voters, which helped him in Nevada, Texas and California. All of it is impressive. 3/
Bernie's platform isn't "radical" or even rejected by most. If you look at the exit polls, most voters want Medicare for All & college free tuition. The party, like the country, is more liberal than people want to admit. The Democratic Party has to eventually move towards it. 4/
It came down to a strategic calculation: will most Americans vote for Biden, a man they know and trust who was VP to Obama or a Democratic socialist who just had a heart attack? Voters across the board made that decision. Just see Virginia, Massachusettes, Maine, Minnesota...5/
Bernie should be respected for helping champion and mainstream progressive policies that are concerned "normal" and "mainstream" in most countries. They are part of our daily politicial discussions now. He has pushed and challenged the Democratic Party. This is a big win. 6/
Biden has said he will be the "bridge," but I demand more than a game manager QB. He can actually be transformational if he engages Bernie's base, the youth, people who feel disaffected & alienated from the "establishment." If he listens to them, empowers them, includes them. 7/
Biden can help shepherd a new Democratic coalition of these diverse communities that is committed to progressive change. It's a challenge but he has to rise to the occasion and learn from his mistakes and surround himself with the right mix of advisors and talent. 8/
Here's an opportunity for Bernie & progressive leaders to reciprocate & bring their base to join Biden & others like a mighty political Voltron. It's doable. Our goal is to remove Trump & move this country forward. AOC, Pelosi, Schumer, Pressley, Schiff, Warren can do wonders 9/
Trump is beatable. He is vulnerable. He will become more weak, more exposed. He only won by 77K votes across 3 states. That's nothing. Don't lose hope. Organize, get out the vote, be passionate, fight for your causes, push the Democratic Party and unite to beat this fool.

END.
BONUS - This country finally needs to discuss and confront the rampant misogyny and double standards towards female politicians. Why are they deemed "unelectable?" Why is a large part of the voting base in the US still allergic to the concept of having a female President?
