People are asking me for advice -- e.g. do I really need to take this nutty precaution? Here is my blanket advice:
If it feels like a measure is kinda crazy, like only a paranoid nutter would do it, it's probably right. If it doesn't, you're probably putting yourself in danger.

You have to be early. You have to do it before it's obvious that you should do it. Early is on time, and on time is too late. Those are the rules of this moment right now, & if you can't/won't play by them then you're endangering yourself.
Now is the time to take social and reputational risks in the name of reducing your physical risks. You have a pass to look weird. You have a pass to back out. You have a pass to stay home and bunker down like some nutter in a NatGeo special.
