HERE IS WHY:
- toilet paper
- any kind of dry pasta
- cooking sauces
- canned goods
Of which the only genuinely useful thing would be the canned goods.
If you need to stay home for a long period you will need to keep hydrated, healthily fed and entertained
Cooking sauces won't help you with this either...
DO BUY:
- pulses (raw/canned)
- veg (canned/frozen/fresh to freeze)
- meat/fish (to freeze)
- oils & spices
- root vegetables: onion, garlic, all potatoes, carrot, turnip, parsnip, leek (stay fresh for a long time)
You'll be entertained, you'll enjoy the food more and you'll be eating better
For a guaranteed winner always start cooking your dish with a 'refugado' (Portuguese for sauteed onion & garlic)
(more dishes to clean also means more things to do during isolation)
Stew = any meat + onions + potato + carrots + frozen peas + tomato paste + seasoning

Remember: Recipes can be altered. Have fun! If you must do without fresh herbs so be it. Add a lil more garlic (always more garlic than recipe suggests anyway)
