SHOULD I STOP VISITING ELDERLY RELATIVES?
Watson: I think we should start limiting visitation to people who are in assisted-living facilities and nursing homes. I know that’s really tough, and maybe setting things up so you can visit them virtually is a good idea....1/
Cannuscio: I think if we are fortunate enough to live near our elders & we get into the mode of seriously isolating our own families, then 1 person should be designated to go &visit. If we’re not in a situation where we can truly limit our own social contact, then we will be 2/
putting that elder at risk by going to visit. 3/3

AP: The White House overruled CDC officials who wanted to recommend this week that elderly and physically fragile Americans be advised not to fly on commercial airlines because of the new coronavirus, a federal official told The Associated Press.
“On Friday, the CDC quietly updated its website to tell older adults and people with severe medical conditions...to ‘stay home as much as possible’ & avoid crowds. It urges those people to ‘take actions to reduce your risk of exposure,’ but it doesn’t specifically address flying”

Florida @GovRonDeSantis bans all visitation to all nursing homes and similar facilities for seniors in Broward County for the next 30 days. The state has counted 11 positive coronavirus cases in Broward so far.
Florida has received 1,000 of 2,500 commercial coronavirus testing kits it has ordered, DeSantis says.
They will be distributed to hospitals based on highest need starting in Broward County, DeSantis says.

Refusing to be an elder caregiver - thread

I got custody of my grandmother in 2013, when she had her second event. (Probably a stroke). She’d made me her POA/guardian & didn’t tell me. That’s how things rolled with my family elders - consent & communication? Yeah, no.
I’m the oldest of 8: two full sibs, three steps, two halves. In 2013, my full sibs & I had two living grandmothers & both (neglectful & objectively bad) parents. We talked it out with the one half sib who is in the picture and made agreements amongst ourselves.
(The step sibs are responsible for their mother, who is also one half-sib’s mother. The other half-sib is out of frame, by that sibling’s mother’s choice.)

("Ex parte" is Latin for "from." An ex parte communication is one coming from only one party, not providing any notice to the other party. Basically the opposite of a letter copied to opposing counsel, filed publicly, and served via the electronic filing system.)
It is quite literally impossible to overstate how fantastically dumb Ty Beard's "ex parte" characterization is

The motion is weak and the basis is LOLable, but my suspicion is that the judge will grant it (though likely for less than 3 weeks)

Defendants will argue the burden is on Plaintiff to show good cause (the motion doesn't do that), plus ongoing harassment

Positive for the Defendants. He gives their attorneys lots of usable material

A good rule of thumb as y'all see an assortment of "bUt ThEy LiEd UnDeR oAtH" tweets from conVics is that they're typically projecting – accusing others of the things they themselves or R.Broly have done
