CPC operatives continued to disinform and bash the federal government.

A few hours ago, Stockwell was happy sidewalks and shops were still operating and complaining about the overreaction.

Now he wants to forcibly quarantine asylum seekers. I wonder why just them? 🙄
Thousands of Snowbirds are returning to Canada in the coming days. I wonder if we should forcibly quarantine them too?

The Emergency Measures Act has not been invoked. No one is forced into quarantine. At the moment it’s voluntary. For every citizen, & every asylum seeker.
Removing personal liberty is a last resort.

Seems odd that a paleolibertarian pundit would be so willing to infringe on personal liberty so easily. Don’t you think?

It wouldn’t have anything to do with the colour of their skin, would it?

Actually, I’m amending this tweet.

We need the federal govt to hear this petition loud and clear. While they are so bogged down with daily critical COVid-19 coordination, the only way to achieve that is to gather at least 1% of the nation’s population’s signatures, or more.

Interesting video on the history of pandemics.

Watch it please. You’ll have an appreciation of the magnitude that pandemics had when they occurred in the past.
But we have modern medicine now. So we have a much better survival rate to look forward to along with flattening the curve with self distancing and self imposed isolation.

However, the devastation of this pandemic will bring enormous changes to modern societies across the globe.
One of the outcomes will be the propesnsity for many to point fingers and blame. As we see with recorded history, pandemics happen regularly. There is no one to blame. There is no evidence this is biological warfare.

It’s now been 15 days of COVID-19 self-distancing for my family here in Kirkland, WA. Literally: no leaving the house, no guests.
No work commute, no school, no church, no ballet, no martial arts, no flag football, no errands, no shopping, no family gatherings, no hanging with friends...
We felt very much alone the first week. Schools and business were still all operating normally, and grocery store shelves were full. After 8 days we even started to consider breaking our social distancing so that we could at least feel connected with society again.

Please read this article and, if you care to, stay for a story about my personal flirtation with the opioid epidemic after my emergency appendectomy last October.
Some of you may recall I landed in the ER last year with appendicitis, and had my appendix removed. I spent 5-6 hours in the ER while a surgeon became available. I had a morphine drip for some (most?) of that time. But let’s back up a half day to before I went to the ER.
If you’ve had appendicitis, you know it hurts. It’s basically like the worst gas pain you’ve ever had in your life, amplified by… a lot. That morning, that’s all I thought it was. I thought I’d just walk/fart it off, but man this really hurts and I wonder if something is wrong.
