Tired of folk in front but not leading...so I'll give it go, at least I've done it before.
Listen up.....THREAD

14 years of Naval service, 10 of which were served onboard nuclear powered vessels (most notably, submarines).
We had to learn techniques and strategies to help keep is and everyone else safe in an emergency.

By making small adaptions to those measures, may help us be a little safer during this COVID19 outbreak.
You don't need anything special or spend money on cleaners. Just use your head and DON'T PANIC.
4/
A safe zone gives you a ppace that you *know* is safe enough for you to interact in without fear of getting sick.
A safe zone also allows you to give yourself a mental break from being on-guard and alert while you're out in public.
5/
Keeping the main modes of contamination clean and free of contaminants. Clean it and keep it clean. When in doubt...clean it to be safe.
Clean *ALL* handles and doors in your house.
7
Once all that is done...that's safe zone #1.
Now for the car....do the same thing. Clean all that you touch...the inside door handle, steering wheel, gear shift, and rear view mirror.
8/
How do you keep #2 safe? Good question.
As soon as you enter your car from work, shopping, or whatever...put on a little hand sanitizer. While your hands are still moist, rub down the steering wheel and door handle.
No sanitizer? No problem.
9/
What's the next thing you do? DON'T PANIC.
Drive to SAFE ZONE #1, get your cleaner (soap & water, etc) and clean SAFE ZONE #2.
10/
Yup. True statement. You will need to go back and clean the front doorknob plus anything else you may have touched. When you're done....WASH YOUR HANDS UP TO YOUR WRISTS.
Why? Because we want to be thorough.
11/
Now that you've got your two safe zones established it's time to get in the right sustainable mindset.
Build the mindset that everyone you see is contaminated. Build the mindset that everything you touch is contaminated.
Everything?
Yep...everything.
12/
Think about what you do before you do it....try to plan a course that doesn't leave you an alternate route to get to where you're going.
13/
THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU DO BEFORE YOU DO IT.
Use the *back of your hands* to address that itch, or eyelash, or hair. Not the pads of your fingers...got it??
Good.👍
14/
Ok. Safe zones are set up.
Outside the safe zones use your situational awareness and avoid direct contact inside the social distance tripwire.
As soon as you (or anyone else) enters your SAFE ZONES...what do we do??
WASH YOUR HANDS UP TO THE WRISTS.
15/
Is it foolproof? Nope. But it's something to work off of more specific than "wash your hands"
See ya on the other side.
<end>
Don't eat anything, don't put anything in your mouth, don't pick your teeth, don't do ANYTHING WITH UNWASHED HANDS!!!
Nothing....
Think about what you do *before* you do it.
We will get thru this...work together and help each other.
Should read "Try to plot a course that doesn't cut off an alternate route to get to where you want to go."
You *always* want to keep your options open and available.
Sorry for any confusion.
