Key messages today:

-Residents asked to wipe bin handles when putting out the bins
-All council meetings postponed this week
-Bus operators asked to relax timings for concessionary passes
-Inquests and coroner service continues as normal

-schools including early year’s childcare providers will close from Friday afternoon ‘until further notice, apart from those supporting key workers’ children’. Councils awaiting gov guidance on how to implement the latter
- libraries remain open but events cancelled

- Councils setting up volunteer hub to support critical staff. More on that later

Coronavirus advice for Cambridgeshire residents’ bins:
- wipe the bin handles when putting out your bins
- wash hands
- Don’t go to Household Recycling Centres if self-isolating

'Personal waste (such as used tissues) and disposable cleaning cloths can be stored securely within disposable rubbish bags. These bags should be placed into another bag, tied securely and kept separate from other waste. This should be put aside for at least 72 hours..
