Emirates can confirm that all passengers have disembarked from flight EK 203. All passengers were screened by the local health authorities prior to disembarkation and 3 passengers and 7 crew were transferred to the hospital for further medical care and evaluation. 1/5
Nine passengers underwent additional medical screening at the site near the aircraft and were released afterwards. The rest of the passengers were allowed to leave and clear customs. 2/5
Emirates crew and onground staff extended our full cooperation with the authorities during the onboard screenings and the aircraft has now been handed back to Emirates. 3/5

Abu Khallad was one of five al-Qaeda figures (see tweet from 17 Aug) released by Iran in 2015 in a prisoner swap with AQAP. He was held there for 13 yrs
He's believed to be a top official in the Syria-based Hurras al-Din group, al-Qaeda's unannounced branch in Syria. He came out of the woodwork in early December 2017, setting up his own Telegram channel and giving info about his background. He called himself "the forgotten emir"
