This difficult time requires me to share information that I know will have a tremendous impact on our @txst family. To protect Bobcats from spread of COVID-19, we will move courses to remote/alternative delivery from March 30 through the end of the spring semester. (1/7)
All undergraduate & graduate students will be able to complete the courses in which they are currently enrolled. We will work to find solutions for students without off-campus access to a computer or Wi-Fi. For questions and support, students can contact @itactxst. (2/7)
In accordance with social distancing recommendations, we request students living in residence halls or Bobcat Village return home or make other off-campus living arrangements for the rest of the semester. We know this is not an option for everyone and will be flexible. (3/7)
Those who need to remain on campus will have limited access to services/facilities, such as dining and the @lbjsc. @txstatehousing will communicate with their residents about applying to remain on-campus, moving out, retrieving belongings & receiving a credit for housing. (4/7)
We are also moving spring commencement to August 6 & 8. An updated schedule will be available online soon. I am so proud of our graduating students & look forward to celebrating with you. You will still receive your diploma if you can't participate in the August ceremony. (5/7)
Our faculty and staff are prepared to make the transition as smooth as possible and are here to help you. We will continue to share detailed information. To stay informed, check your university email often, and visit the #TXST COVID-19 webpage: txstate.edu/coronavirus (6/7)
I am grateful for our staff and faculty who have worked tirelessly to support our university community in these extraordinary times. I am proud to be a part of this amazing community, and your safety and well-being will continue to be my highest priority. Be well Bobcats. (7/7)
