namjoon (RM), from bts, is socially educated man thread
Let’s begin with Namjoon‘s extreme conformability with himself and understanding of clothing having no gender ties ie lace, skirts, corsets, etc. a direct quote from him states, “Femininity is made up by society. A skirt is just a concept...”
he does his best on being educated on topics such as domestic abuse
Despite past mistakes, he’s understands societies’ take on women and how women are disrespected repeatedly.
"The public needs to respect that culture in part, but I think the demeaning of women needs to be subdued."
Not Today’s “glass ceiling” lyric explained:
Namjoon acknowledging that hijab is part of Muslim women’s choice in attire and doesn’t take from their beauty.
Self explanatory on how your partner should always respect you and your likes.
Two book recommendations that namjoon has read that go over mental illnesses

Moving on to Namjoon’s involvement/acknowledgement of the lgbtq+ community
“Love, not just between the man and women, or genders.”
I Know — lyrics by Namjoon and was released for 2016 Festa... one day after same sex was banned in South Korea
21st Century Girl — lyrics by Namjoon. The song is about women empowerment.
”I worry a lot when I write lyrics. I read lots of newspapers and books to study social phenomena. After I finish writing lyrics, I get experts such as a professor of women’s studies to objectively examine the lyrics.” -RM cred. agirlinthepark
Namjoons consciously decided to use gender neutral lyrics in a couple songs from the Love Yourself album
Hip hop culture and Namjoons ability to acknowledge his ignorance to the culture
Change by Wale and Namjoon is submerged with important topics including BlackLivesMatter, the stress the Korean school system puts on children, bullying, suicide, and voting
Namjoon on hip hop:
most idols would shy away from speaking on political and social issues but here he is
here is the apology antis are constantly searching for... Anyways, you can tell he’s being sincere since he hasn’t made the same mistake ever since.
Here is proof that namjoon is aware that he shouldn’t say the n word. They changed the lyric because he didn’t want to accidentally offend people.

Here’s the video of namjoon explaining the reason for the lyric change.
Another piece of evidence that namjoon is embarrassed of his problematic past. He repeatedly expresses his regret
climate change — self explanatory
Art piece replica for Palestine :’)
There’s many many MANY more things I could add to this thread, but with this information, I think you guys have to acknowledge that although Namjoon has made mistakes in his past, he’s has taken the effort to educate himself on every single one of those mistakes.
And with Namjoons UN speech I will end this thread. Thank you for reading :-)
Also feel free to dm me if you have anything you think I should add !
