@BeckyQuick There appear to be two factors that limit the spread: effective contact tracing and whole population use of masks.

Countries that have controlled the epidemic have widespread use of masks. The masks are not to protect the wearer. They are to prevent the wearer from spreading more than trivial amounts of the virus.

Czechia, South Korea, Mongolia all have masks. Taiwan brags that is making 10M masks/day with a population of 27M.
