👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻The US is about to be able to test a lot of people!!! Don't forget that the # of confirmed cases is dependent on tests taken & as most asymptomatic or mild, higher confirmed cases = better testing.

US has administered tested more than any country & will test even more!
When u read data from different countries, have to remember the quality of the data & also test kits. You can say you tested (positive or negative) but what's the point if test kits are unreliable as the Spain CDC found out tests they bought were no good:
euractiv.com/section/corona…
Spainish gov purchased the products from a national supplier, which were imported from China & CE marked.

CE = certification marking showing a product meets the health, safety and environmental protection requirements to be sold in the European Union.

EC signed by Shenzhen firm
Bioeasy manager Zhu Hai dismissed as “untrue” reports suggesting the company’s test kits had a low accuracy rate. Said it had exported more than 420k test kits to at least 10 countries, including Italy, Qatar and Ukraine. 337k tests to Korea, w/another 5m under production.
Story below of Spanish Society of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology, 1 of Spain’s leading research institutes, posted on its website that it had found nose swabs developed by the Chinese company had an accuracy rate of less than 30% 👇🏻👇🏻. Yep.

The Czech media has also reported problems with Chinese-made test kits. On Monday, a health official in the Moravia-Silesia region claimed that 80% of results from Chinese rapid testing products were flawed. Not known which firm manufactured those kits👇🏻.

Turkish gov has cast aside a sample of Chinese-made coronavirus rapid testing kits after finding out that they gave inaccurate results.

Turkey was among 3 countries able to produce their own real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests.

The US tested >100k on 27 March alone. Please check out the twitter handle below - great project by The Atlantic & has data for not just positives but also negatives.

US already tested most in the world in absolute & per capital testing'll catch up.

Website here: very comprehensive data for state-by-state (they even rate the quality of the data). Has not just completed tests (results: negative or positive) but also PENDING tests.

Very cool project. Well done!

covidtracking.com/data/
Facts for the USA as of last sync at 11am this morning HKT:

Positive: 99,447; Negative: 527,220;

Hospitalized: 11,142; Death: 1,530;

Total test results: 626,667
California:

Positive: 3,879; Negative: 17,380; Pending: 57,400
Deaths: 78
Total test results: 21,259

Pending means we'll get more confirmed cases in California soon & hopefully they're mild & don't require hospitalization as there's only so much the system can take.
For those that say that California is low because we're negligent & not testing, that is NOT TRUE. If anything, I think the state has been very vigilant!!!

Follow San Diego County closely & they have been working hard preparing for an outbreak. There's a strong sense of urgency!
