You people overrate yourselves and I normally won't dignify the likes of Ruona Agbroko with an answer because she's not worth it.

I will however say the following:

She has built a reputation here for being the female Japheth, while hiding behind the 1 career highlight she has.
It is on record that the night before the Emmys, she was here calling Elnathan a "dick refugee" and accusing him of falsifying his circumstances to enable him move to Germany.

It is also on record that Cheta and myself have also faced her vicious and unwarranted attacks.
Unfortunately yesterday, she chose to go down into the mud with someone who happens to be even more adept at hitting below the belt.

The murder of Godwin Agbroko is publicly accessible information only a Google search away. He decided to reference it.
If Mrs Meyer nee Agbroko believes that I am the source of this publicly accessible information, she should then explain why I would not supply additional information that could also be used in a fight.

Permit me to refresh her memory.
A few years ago in my previous iteration as Head of Content at Nigeria's busiest PR agency, I commissioned her to write pieces for our clients as a freelancer one more than one occasion.

You could say in a manner of speaking, I was her boss. I still have these records.
If I really wanted to hit Mrs Meyer below the belt, I have material that I could use. Perhaps a glance at my LinkedIn would make that point better.

I would not need to hide behind my friend, and as is well known, I am no shrinking violet by any stretch of the imagination.
What William said was his decision alone and I neither endorse nor condemn it. The way none of Mrs Meyer's colleagues here on Twitter have felt the need to call her to order when she embarks on her psychotic episodes is the same way I have chosen to ignore this.
If homophobic and libellous slurs about Elnathan, and vicious (unprovoked) public attacks against myself, Cheta Nwanze and others were fine with our senior gatekeepers of journalism, then a jibe about a dead person should be too.
No one gets to go low, then criticise other people for going lower. Not everyone will react the way I did to Mrs Meyer's attention-seeking antics by ignoring and muting her.

Some people in life always hit back.

Mrs Meyer should consider this a valuable lesson.
If her friends and colleagues are willing to put up with her vicious nonsense without any kind of censure, some of us will likewise look askance when you ask us to hold our friends accountable.

Accountability is a two-way street.
I have made the point before, but I will reiterate. Many of our senior colleagues have a severe problem with decorum and character. They have got away with it for decades because Nigeria enables age/seniority-based misbehaviour.
This however, is the internet which is a FLAT space. You will get out exactly what you put in, sometimes with interest.

If you cannot deal with such fallout or discipline yourself to avoid it, then you should not be here.

You need a therapist, not a Twitter account.
Finally, Godwin Agbroko was a great man, clearly. His sacrifice was part of what paved the way for a return to civilian democracy. In Nigerian journalism, his name is right up there with the Giwas and Bonuolas.

However, respect unlike wealth, is not passed down biologically.
It is entirely possible for the world to respect your father as a great man and a hero, but scorn you as a swivel-eyed, psychotic mess who is pathologically unable to get along with people, even when like me, they did nothing to provoke you.
Mrs Meyer's sole significant career highlight is already 4 years old and still enjoys pride of place on her Twitter header.

In the intervening period, some of us have done better BBC Africa Eye documentaries. Some of us have made it to Netflix. Some of us are IVLP nominees.
If Mrs Meyer wants to be remembered as anything more than just that person who couldn't stop talking about people's genitals on Twitter because she did that one thing one time, she might want to learn how to get along with people.

Making enemies habitually is not a strategy.
I replied this way with a Twitter thread while sitting on my toilet because this is honestly not worth opening an article to write an article like she did.
