This makes no sense, since congress routinely handles multiple crises at once -- and would be an argument for removing the impeachment clause from the constitution altogether since an emergency can always happen. It makes even less than zero sense if you follow the timeline... 1/
Trump was impeached December 18, 2019 for trying to extort a foreign ally to smear a campaign opponent. The House investigation began in September, and his actions stretched back months before. Is the suggestion that no investigation should have been done "in case of emergency?"
