1/ I was picking up the living room when I noticed the sunlight reflecting off the four glass paperweights on the table from Sherrod’s childhood home. Each ball depicts a season, and seeing spring start to shimmer reminded me that right now is not our forevermore. 
2/ I returned the wave of the fairy mouse who has been taking advantage of the short lines and riding the Ferris wheel all day long and spotted what I thought was a loose thread sprouting from her ear.
3/ I reached over to pull it off but my hand froze in midair after I realized it was a single strand of granddaughter Jackie’s red hair. And that’s when I remembered to breathe.
