It's such a funny coincidence that the vast majority of people asking me to speak more softly, don't be so aggressive, and always assume good intentions in the face of bad actions are venture capitalists and company executives. Very rarely is it workers or consumers. SO ODD!
It's almost like there's a structural incentive on the behalf of the money lenders and the company owners and operators not to have the wheels of commerce critiqued too much. Like it's bad for business or valuations. Real mystery!
I wonder what her profession is? OF IT'S VENTURE CAPITAL.
Where does he work? OH, HE'S A CEO OF A SEED-FUNDED TECH COMPANY.
If you want more of this wagon-circling, self-congratulating, ooze, please do follow @VCBrags. It's an excellent, running critique of the capital ideology played almost entirely through emojis and retweets. Brilliant.
This is a key part of why I run the volume at 11. There are so many silenced voices who can't afford to speak up, lest they suffer grave personal consequences. WTF is a VC or company CEO going to do to me? Attempt to tone police me on Twitter? 😂
Same goes for entrepreneurial idols. VCs and plenty of CEOs ADORE the stories of Steve Jobs or Elon Musk berating employees, firing them on a whim, BECAUSE THAT'S THE CRUELTY OF POWER. Totally kosher then to be loud/angry/whatever in service of capital.
