Teala is such a knowledgeable host! She always sets us up with clear expectations and keeps us on time (30 minutes). Here is what we will be discussing today👇 #TeVE #TeMasterClass
Lean into transparency , vulnerability, inclusivity. Reduce bias, be cautious about moderating. Less is more if your goal is to build trust. Keep the conversation safe and protect stakeholders from rude thoughts. #TeVE #TeMasterClass
Think of Thoughtexchange as an exercise in vulnerability 💜 Use these words to guide you:

"We don’t censor lightly and we assume no malice
"

#BringPeopleTogether #TeVE #TeMasterClass
With a transparent approach, you will want to remove thoughts that:

are hurtful to a person/group of people

make negative stereotypical statements
if they can be deemed to be offensive to the average reasonable person

swear words
promote acts that are clearly illegal
Review your exchange often. Moderating thoughts can be a task shared among team members. Have several people trained to review thoughts and work together to check in on them frequently to stay current on the conversation. #TeVE #TeMasterClass
Machine Moderation (Beta) - Always improving! An extra set of eyes on the conversation. You have options to offer a sliding scale of transparency to suit your confidence level with that particular conversation. #TeMasterClass #TeVE
Could this be read as hurtful? Yes. However, if it was reported (flagged for moderation🚩) we would recommend keeping it in the conversation to help remove bias. Important to let participants know about your moderation criteria before the exchange opens. #TeVE #TeMasterClass
What does it mean "not enough ratings to rank?" this means that the thought hasn't been rated 5 times yet. Each thought needs the same opportunity to be seen and rated. #BringPeopleTogether #TeVE #TeMasterClass
Starting our Q&A exchange now to #crowdsource questions and thoughts form our audience. Teala shows us how quick this exchange is to set up and how Presenter Mode looks from a "behind the scenes" leader's perspective & then from a participant's perspective. #TeVE #TeMasterClass
Consider your organizational & broader environment. Ex. School district engaging with students? Might need more moderation to keep the conversation focused. #BLM exchange with parents? Possibly less moderation.
Keep in mind:
Who are you reaching out to?
What is your WHY?
#TeVE
Fantastic questions in our Q&A exchange today! Thank you all for your participation. Excellent use of our time together (all this in 30 mins!) Check out the replay of this #TeVE to catch Teala's answers to all of these questions (& more) #BringPeopleTogether #TeVE #TeMasterClass
That's a wrap!💫 Thank you to all of our participants who joined us today to enhance their knowledge of our powerful #crowdsourcing tool and become better leaders! If you missed it, stay tuned for the replay 📺 #BringPeopleTogether #TeVE #TeVirtualEvents #TeMasterClass
