Congrats Senator - Elect from the State of Georgia, the first African American to do so, @RaphaelWarnock .

Senator-Elect Warnock was initiated into Alpha Phi Alpha Inc., the oldest historically Black fraternity in the country, in Harlem, New York in 1993. Image
“In a word, it means ‘service’ for me,” Warnock explained in a video on Twitter late last year. “It’s also a great fellowship. It’s a wonderful way of connecting to other men with similar values. And while I am a proud Alpha man…there’s a lot of love between all these
fraternities and sororities.
Mother Jones

Once @JonOssoff ‘s victory is certified the Dems will hold a simple majority in a 50/50 Senate with a tie breaker vote from Vice President - Elect @KamalaHarris . @senatemajldr will be fired as Majority Leader, and the Dems will now be
able to bring legislation to the floor that mconnell intentionally blocked for years. There is still much work to be done. #georgia ‼️ #raphaelwarnock #aphia #divinenine #hbcugrad #america #vote #blackvotesmatter

@realDonaldTrump Over 240k #americans have lost their lives due to #covid_19 and there are a total of 9.9M confirmed Covid19 cases in the #unitedstates . This is directly attributable to the failed, incompetent and immoral #trump regime.
President-elect Joe Biden is expected to announce his COVID-19 task force on Monday, Axios reported.

The 12-member group will reportedly be co-led by former Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, former Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner David Kessler
and Yale University professor Marcella Nunez-Smith.

Working the polls gives you a keen view.
#election2020 #america #selfish #racist

When a country shows you who it is, believe it the first time. This race should not be this close. Biden will likely win a close race.
Win or lose, a lot more people voted for him this year, after watching him as president* for four years, than voted for him last time. These are people you work with. Perhaps you live near. Go AZ, WI, MI & GA.

Thank you US Congresswoman @RepJayapal . Where were the Federal Agents in the state of Michigan when white people carrying confederate flags, swaztikahs, assault rifles and nooses stormed state capitals to protest wearing masks #covid19?
While calling for the Governor of Michigan to be lynched. Yet, #blacklivesmatter✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿 protestors and allies are met with federal force during peaceful protests. barr, who is allegedly the US Attorney General, offered nothing. He’s a partisan hack doing 46-1’s bidding. #vote

Canceled HBCU homecomings deeply rooted in community and culture leave a void theathletic.com/1945691/2020/0…
We go hard, especially during Homecoming, because HBCU’s represent the four years in our lives in which we weren’t the minority, an affinity group, an ERG, or an afterthought. HBCU’s; It’s Black sacred ground.
It’s a family reunion, a block party, a cookout, a kickback, a fashion show, a festival, a black power rally, a revival, an oasis, a physical, and spiritual baptism in Blackness. #ifyouknowyouknow

Remove the names of slave owners, traitors, separatists, & domestic terrorists from the military bases. #america #blm

The Senate overwhelmingly passed a massive defense bill Thursday afternoon that includes the removal of Confederate names amp.usatoday.com/amp/5495545002
from army bases and creates a possible showdown between Congress and President Donald Trump, who opposes renaming the bases.

The bill passed by a lopsided count of 86 to 14, well over the number required to override a presidential veto.
The bill, which authorizes $736.9 billion in military spending, includes a provision to form a commission on the names of military bases and rename bases over the next three years.

Again, I have no respect; no admiration; no reverence for the #confederacy . Their goal was the continued enslavement, raping, murder, separating of families and oppression of my people. This is the heritage of the confederacy - there is no romanticizing that. #blacklivesmatter
On Nov. 13, 1862, the Confederate government advertised in the Charleston Daily Courier for 20 or 30 “able bodied Negro men” to work in the new nitre beds at Ashley Ferry, S.C. “The highest wages will be paid monthly,” the ad stated.
It was odious work. The nitre beds were large rectangles of rotted manure and straw, moistened weekly with urine, “dung water,” and liquid from privies, cesspools and drains, and turned over regularly, according to accounts at the time.
