1)For those concerned about #Iranlobby s& #Iran's "friendly journalists", here is a good read:

2)@dcexaminer:"#Afrasiabi is accused of secretly deriving a“significant portion”of his income from the #Iranian Gov.for his work in the #US from 2007 until...when he was arrested...The FBI highlighted that while in the U.S.,Afrasiabi never registered under the FAR-Act." #BanZarif
3)@dcexaminer: '“For over a decade, Kaveh Afrasiabi pitched himself to Congress, journalists,&the American public as a neutral &objective expert on #Iran,” said Assistant Attorney General John Demers in a statement after Afrasiabi’s arrest.'
4)“However, all the while, Afrasiabi was actually a secret employee of the Government of #Iran and the Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations (IMUN) who was being paid to spread their propaganda,” John Demers statement adds. #BanZarif
5)"(Afrisiabi)allegedly advised in an email that #Iran should“end all inspections &end all information on Iran’s nuclear activities pending a[UNSC]condemnation of US’ illegal crime.”Doing so would“strike fear in the heart of the enemy”&“weaken Trump and strengthen his opponents.”
6)“Unfortunately,for the past 3decades,the #Iranian regime has been running an extensive network of agents &operatives, many of them U.S. persons, in clear violation of American law,” Jafarzadeh from @NCRIUS
7)A common thing among all #Iranlobby s &advocates is that when it comes to the #MEK, (#Iran's main opposition), they all copy the same lies &talking points dictated by #Iran's Intelligence Ministry. I've Personally noticed that anyone bashing MEK is somehow tied to them regime.

A good start would be to look into the activities of ppl like: Trita Parsi &Quicy Inst.,Negar Mortazavi,NIAC&all those affiliated with it, Hossein Mousavian, etc.
.@A_Jafarzadeh: "Figures like Kaveh Afrasiabi &Trita Parsi have been given far too much leeway in dealings W/Western policymakers & media outlets, & the resulting“impunity” has “emboldened” the #Iranian regime in running its assets on Western soil." i.e., terrorist activities

2)As the #Iran-#Iraq War erupted,#MEK publicly condemned the occupation of Iranian territory &Independent of forces organized by the regime, MEK members and supporters rushed to the southern &western fronts to fight against the invaders.
3)A large number of #MEK members &supporters were killed or taken prisoner by #Iraqi troops. The MEK was also locked in a political struggle against the mullahs as it called for a democratic outcome of the revolution while the mullahs sought to instill a theocratic dictatorship.
1) 2nd Thread on #Iran-#Iraq war: let’s discuss why Khomeini needed this devastating war &why did it continue the war for8 years and at what costs?
The #Iranian regime refers to Iran-Iraq was as"Holy Defense" trying to legitimize its biggest #CrimesAgainstHumanity #DisbandIRGC
2) Let's start with some statistics only on #Iran's side. Obviously, the war was as destructive on #Iraqis. The losses and sufferings of families that had lost their loved ones, and their breadwinner could not be calculated.
3) Those who’ve lived in #Iran during the war, remember the overcrowded cemeteries, daily funerals, weeping& mourning of families and relatives in every street, becoming part of the daily life. Even in the most remote cities, no one was safe from the scourge of war and bombing.
Upon the Anniversary of the1980 #Iran-#Iraq war,one of the most devastating&bloody contemporary wars. The clerical regime has launched a series of propaganda shows against its main opposition(#MEK),in a bid to demonize them.
I'll b doing a few threads 4those interested.Plz share!
