THREAD
Please keep signing & sharing this petition. The response from @NSPCC & @peterwanless has been unacceptable. This video must be withdrawn & lessons learnt about #safeguarding.
This is the latest response we have received from @NSPCC ‘supporter care’ (@peterwanless didn’t have the courtesy to reply himself). This is unacceptable. If Childline are no longer endorsing this video, they need to say why. All other unsuitable material must also be withdrawn
This video is still up on YouTube, stating that it was made in conjunction with Childline. If the @NSPCC no longer endorse this video they need to say so & ensure its removal. It has been viewed 3m+ times & is still being promoted by @ScotGovEdurshp.scot/wp-content/upl……
We are concerned about the impact that 3 million+ views of this video have had on children, on ‘rape culture’ & the emerging #everyonesinvited scandal in schools. Being a charity & doing some good does not excuse abuse or exempt individuals & organisations from scrutiny.
Numerous scandals including #JimmySavile & more recently @oxfam & @savechildrenuk
show what can go wrong if individuals/organisations are exempt from #safeguarding. We wish there was no need for our organisation to exist. We receive no funding & no pay. We are all volunteers.
The first link the NSPCC have directed us to links to yet more unsuitable material. When clicking on ‘sex & relationships’ it takes you straight through to ‘gender identity’ which uses unscientific & political language such as ‘gender assigned at birth’.
Search ‘porn’ & ‘pornography’ on Childline’s ‘Ask Sam’, lots of results. Childline is where @NSPCC will direct people who call their #everyonesinvited helpline.
‘Ask Sam’ reassures children that watching porn is ‘perfectly normal’ even as young as 7.
The second link from @NSPCC contains lesson plans produced in conjunction with @PSHEassociation ; we are looking through them now. Some of this contravenes latest @educationgovuk guidelines. Such as this bizarre activity.
We are working on a parents guide to @NSPCC resources at the moment. We have just released this resource on @barnardos resources. We show where the resources undermine #safeguarding & contravene @educationgovuk guidance.
There are many issues with the @NSPCC. @stilltish has blogged about some of them. When we have asked @peterwanless about these and unsuitable content we have been told it is ‘historical’. It clearly isn’t as much unsuitable material remains.
School leaders need to be aware that it doesn’t matter where resources come from/who has funded/endorsed them (inc @NSPCC@PSHEassociation). If they undermine the law or #safeguarding it is the school who will be held responsible. @educationgovuk have been clear about this.
We are contacted on a daily basis by parents who have discovered inappropriate materials in their children’s schools or practice that undermines #safeguarding. Many are distraught & don’t know what to do. We have produced this new guide to help.
We are not going anywhere. We will continue to hold charities to account until they fulfil their duties to safeguard all children. Their directors are paid vast sums of money. It is not acceptable to be paid 173K to safeguard children & not do so. @NSPCC nspcc.org.uk/about-us/organ…
Fortunately it is not just us. There are many other principled organisations & individuals.
@JamesEsses is petitioning to ensure that children can access appropriate therapy. Once again major children’s charity are in dereliction of their duty.
For years @Transgendertrd have campaigned against unethical experimental medical treatments. They gave evidence in landmark court case to protect children alongside @marcusevanspsyc@sueevansprotect@KLBfax. Meanwhile children’s charities produced this.
There must now be a public inquiry. Too many institutions & government departments are the subject of regulatory capture. How has this happened? How have we ignored all previous inquiries & serious case reviews & allowed ‘equality & diversity’ to override #safeguarding?
END
We are aware that the ‘WTF is porn’ video May now have been withdrawn, however we have received no official confirmation of this or comment on any of the numerous other concerns raised.
“The awards cut across every aspect of the operation of the school...advising teachers to “introduce yourself at the start of the year using your pronouns and encourage students to do the same.”
This is compelled speech. #Teachers contact your unions.

earlier this week Stonewall CEO @Nancy_M_K claimed: “one of the things that’s really important to say is that we don’t advocate for the removal of the single sex exemptions.” ‘

Yet more ‘historic’ child #safeguarding failures. But are these historic? Or are the same failings still happening today? Does everybody who has concerns always raise them? Or in another 20 yrs time will we be listening to excuses from people who..
have concerns RIGHT NOW but are failing to raise them? Are we learning our lessons? Are we listening? Or do we continue to vilify those who raise concerns? Do we as adults accept our responsibility to safeguard all children? Do we really understand the mantra ‘You never...
know anyone well enough to say they couldn’t, wouldn’t or didn’t’? Or do we continue to ignore our instincts, excuse friends, family, colleagues, pillars of the community, to the detriment of children? Do we fulfil our duty to #SpeakOut? Or do we continue to allow ourselves...
It is an important case to follow for any #schools & #teachers working with Stonewall. The CPS ‘hate crimes’ schools pack, produced in conjunction with #Stonewall has now been permanently withdrawn, but the judicial review of the relationship between CPS...
Ben Cooper trying to establish communications between individuals at Stonewall & individuals at Garden Court Chambers. Arguing names of individuals is relevant and they put in public domain.
The @CareQualityComm inspection report which found @TaviAndPort#GIDS service to be ‘inadequate’ is a truly shocking read. We are appalled at the spin that this is just about waiting times. It is not. This is a #safeguarding scandal. Full report here:
Questions must be asked (and answered) about why so many children were experiencing distress around gender in the first place. What has gone wrong in our society? Why are we failing to challenge gender stereotypes? What are children looking at online?
The regulatory capture in our society has gone so far that even the @CareQualityComm report into this scandal uses highly contested, ideological language such as ‘assigned sex at birth’. This must stop. Sex is observed at birth, usually by medical professionals.
