This latest @SDGE contract requires a 6-vote super majority to END the deal- not extend/approve it! This ties the hands of future Councilmembers in ways that the City Charter does not allow.

Also: San Diegans are still being charged the highest utility rates in California.

.@SDGE is making $1 million in profits every day on the backs of many of the lowest paid workers in the state.

Then there's the expensive city "lease" of 101 Ash Street- SDGE's former home

My question: How did deals for acquiring properties at 101 Ash St (negotiated/approved by Mayor/Council) and Residence Inn (negotiated by SDHousing Commission) avoid legal review, resulting in excessive payments over realistic property values, and illegal fees/commissions?
