As I pored over lists of Gaza dead compiled in #Israel, I found a case that would repeat itself: a senior Hamas commander, his wife, & 15 y.o. daughter.
Legit in laws of war, but listed as 2 civilians.

The number of combatants is roughly the same as civilians.
A 1:1 ratio is unheard of in modern wars, where civilians greatly outnumber fighters.
