2| The beautiful soul in this picture is 11 year-old Mohammad ‘Allami, who was executed by Israel's army, when he was convincing his daddy to go back to a shop to by him something. Mohammad's sister was also in the car, she wasn't physically injured.

3| Mohammad 'Allami is the 312th indigenous #Palestinian to be killed by Israel's army since the beginning of 2021, the 52nd to be executed in the #WestBank, the 76th #child executed in total, the11th child to be executed in the West Bank.

4| Mohammad is also the third #indigenous Palestinian Israel executed within the span of a single week, and the second child Israel executed within the span of a single week.

5| In the same article is the disturbing news that in the same village where Mohammad was executed, on the same day, Israel's army dug up the corpse of a #newborn #baby #girl, and left her on the ground for no apparent reason other than casual #dehumanisation of an invading army.

6| So what does all this genocidal horror have to do with an #IceCream company, other than that kids dig it?
Let's first assume that #BenandJerrys are aware of the horror to the extent that "it is inconsistent with their values".

9| But almost a week has past since then, and Israel has been very busy responding to this #ConfectionaryCrisis. A statement of no less than 90 Israeli parliament members (that's 75% of Israel's parliament), demanding a reversal of Ben & Jerry's decision.

10| The non-ironic arguments are as follows (paraphrased):

🤡 Occupied Palestinian territory is Israel.
🤡 #IndigenousLand will be erased by referring to it by whatever name the #coloniser wants to name it.

11| 🤡 #IndigenousPeople, #IndigenoiusIdentity, and #RightToLand will be erased by referring to #indigenous peoples by whatever name the coloniser wants to name them.

12| 🤡 Not selling ice cream to colonial settlers is harmful to the indigenous population.
🤡 Colonised peoples and colonising populations are equals.
🤡 Ben & Jerry's is in violation of an Israeli law which is in violation of #InternationalLaw.

17| I'd like to take this opportunity to invite you to use the hashtags (today 10:00am NYC, 07:00am California) to highlight Israel's war crimes, because really, #ShameOnBenAndJerrys for not wanting to be complicit with crimes like the execution of 11 year-old Mohammad 'Allami.

18| Celebrities, while it may be daunting to see Israel's response to the mere act of refusing complicity, remember that Palestinians are paying with life and limb every day for simply existing. Stand with them, refuse complicity, #boycottIsrael!
