2| Israel's army shot and killed Shadi Salim (41), at #Beita junction, making him the 311th indigenous #Palestinian, to be killed by Israel's army since the beginning of 2021, and the 51st Palestinian to be killed from the #WestBank. ochaopt.org/data/casualties
3| Israel's last #execution was carried out just 6 days ago, when soldiers invaded the town of #NabiSaleh, and shot 16 year-old Mohammad Tamimi in the back.
5| Shadi Salim was heading home from his job, overseeing water resources at Beita Town Council, when Israel's soldiers decided his life wasn't worth preserving and pumped his body full of lead.
6| Shadi is the 5th Beita resident Israel has executed in less than 2 months. The village of Beita is made up of 30 #families, and has little over 10,000 residents. Imagine the enormity of the #community#tragedy that no news agency bothered to report.
7| When a #protest erupted in response to the execution, the army proceeded to injure 49 Palestinians. Taha Hamayel (24) was shot with a live round in the leg and a rubber-coated steel bullet in the head. Medics rushed him to a hospital, his condition is serious but stable.
8| Celebrities, if the authorities, in any other town, would have executed 5 people, including a child, in the course of a month and a half, you'd probably boycott in protest. This is no different. #BoycottIsrael!

1| I try to focus on a single story in every post, but I want us to have proportions. So let's compare and contrast #Israel's response to @benandjerrys's not wanting to be complicit in its #WarCrimes, to Israel's actual war crimes. imemc.org/article/israel…
2| The beautiful soul in this picture is 11 year-old Mohammad ‘Allami, who was executed by Israel's army, when he was convincing his daddy to go back to a shop to by him something. Mohammad's sister was also in the car, she wasn't physically injured.
3| Mohammad 'Allami is the 312th indigenous #Palestinian to be killed by Israel's army since the beginning of 2021, the 52nd to be executed in the #WestBank, the 76th #child executed in total, the11th child to be executed in the West Bank. ochaopt.org/data/casualties
2| What caught my eye in this @guardian article was the quote:
“In Israel there is a strong political movement to make #diplomacy through #business. Business first, diplomacy later. When you make a deal together, it opens a lot of doors to diplomacy.”
3| The notion that #profits trump #consent is rather disturbing, but perfectly in line with the product- #spyware.
2| There's probably not a single person on the planet who hasn't heard the earth shattering news:
Ben & Jerry's will no longer sell ice cream to Israelis living in occupied #Palestinian land.
3| Reminder: Transferring your civilian population to a territory your army is occupying "Attempts to alter the demographic composition of an occupied territory" and is "unlawful and engages State responsibility and criminal responsibility of individuals." ihl-databases.icrc.org/customary-ihl/…
Israel's moderate voices - a case study in 4 parts:
1⃣ "Pointless", much like the more common "senseless", often in conjunction with the word "violence", obfuscates the fact that violence and cruelty are never pointless. They have a very poignant goal- domination, land, money.
