2| What caught my eye in this @guardian article was the quote:
“In Israel there is a strong political movement to make #diplomacy through #business. Business first, diplomacy later. When you make a deal together, it opens a lot of doors to diplomacy.”
3| The notion that #profits trump #consent is rather disturbing, but perfectly in line with the product- #spyware.
4| However capitalism is not necissarily the primary goal of this #TrojanPegasus, and the satire practically writes itself: "Here's your violation of #privacy doohickey, we absolutely do not commit to not using it on you."
5| In #doublespeak that only the truly naive may be inclined to believe, #NSO denies that it gives Israel access to the information it acquires for your government:
6| "NSO Group is a private company. It is not a ‘tool of Israeli diplomacy’; it is not a backdoor for Israeli #intelligence; and it does not take direction from any government leader."
Which would be totally believable had we known it not to be true.
7| Israel's government added that it's perfectly capable of regulating and investigating itself and its own #corporations, which again, would be ironic, if it weren't so terrifyingly a lie. web.archive.org/web/2021072409…
8| Not only that, but just like we know that Israel is collecting information on non-Israelis and using it against them (
10| And on the other hand, Israel willingly not knowing what the governments it sells its spyware do with it, is just as a terrifying (and fictional) concept. jacobinmag.com/2018/11/israel…
11| Celebrities, over and over again, it's been proven that whatever Israel inflicts on #Palestinians (theguardian.com/world/2014/sep…), it's ready to sell to your government to inflict on you. If not for solidarity, then at least for that- #boycottIsrael!

1| I try to focus on a single story in every post, but I want us to have proportions. So let's compare and contrast #Israel's response to @benandjerrys's not wanting to be complicit in its #WarCrimes, to Israel's actual war crimes. imemc.org/article/israel…
2| The beautiful soul in this picture is 11 year-old Mohammad ‘Allami, who was executed by Israel's army, when he was convincing his daddy to go back to a shop to by him something. Mohammad's sister was also in the car, she wasn't physically injured.
3| Mohammad 'Allami is the 312th indigenous #Palestinian to be killed by Israel's army since the beginning of 2021, the 52nd to be executed in the #WestBank, the 76th #child executed in total, the11th child to be executed in the West Bank. ochaopt.org/data/casualties
2| Israel's army shot and killed Shadi Salim (41), at #Beita junction, making him the 311th indigenous #Palestinian, to be killed by Israel's army since the beginning of 2021, and the 51st Palestinian to be killed from the #WestBank. ochaopt.org/data/casualties
3| Israel's last #execution was carried out just 6 days ago, when soldiers invaded the town of #NabiSaleh, and shot 16 year-old Mohammad Tamimi in the back.
2| There's probably not a single person on the planet who hasn't heard the earth shattering news:
Ben & Jerry's will no longer sell ice cream to Israelis living in occupied #Palestinian land.
3| Reminder: Transferring your civilian population to a territory your army is occupying "Attempts to alter the demographic composition of an occupied territory" and is "unlawful and engages State responsibility and criminal responsibility of individuals." ihl-databases.icrc.org/customary-ihl/…
Israel's moderate voices - a case study in 4 parts:
1⃣ "Pointless", much like the more common "senseless", often in conjunction with the word "violence", obfuscates the fact that violence and cruelty are never pointless. They have a very poignant goal- domination, land, money.
