If you hate Insulate Britain, you’d have hated the Suffragettes. Without civil disobedience, black students wouldn’t have been able to attend university in Alabama, India wouldn’t be independent & South Africa would still have Apartheid.

Protest means progress.

The problem with Richard Madeley and Mike Graham and all those types is that if they'd been on the air in 1913 they'd have been grilling Emily Wilding Davison's supporters on how mean it was to disrupt ordinary horse racing spectators and what about the horse.
Block button very busy already today. 🤦🏻‍♂️
According to some, minor things like letting women vote, ending racial segregation, and trying to avoid an uninhabitable planet are ‘virtue signalling’. 🤷🏻‍♂️
Someone called Angela whose bio says 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 thinks the world would be a better place if apartheid was still there, India was still British, there was no action on climate, and if women like, er, Angela were not allowed to vote. What a thing. 🤦🏻‍♂️
“Those decent hard working horses, just trying to have an enjoyable race, and then that bloody woman throws herself onto the track, selfish cow.”

Here’s the core of it. The question no one will face when they are prattling on about protests. “Do you know what a 2 degree temperature rise looks like and what it means for your children?”

He has no idea, and isn’t interested. The problem in a nutshell.
It’s such a problem this. People really have no idea of what is coming with the #ClimateCrisis, and sort of numbly switch off to it. When it really explodes (it’s already started), they will all say there wasn’t enough warning and more should have been done. 🤦🏻‍♂️ #ClimateEmergency
Someone just told me they've been waiting for climate change since they were 15 (which I assume was about 40 years ago) and nothing's changed in that time. I block all climate science deniers instantly, there is no time to waste on that shit.

The government has just u-turned, or should that be u-bent, and accepted the amendment on sewage after all, which is rather embarrassing for all the Tory MPs who have spent two days explaining why they had no choice but to vote against it.

Pressure works. Here, and in a sewer.
Never think twitter activism is a waste of time. Without all of us, this wouldn't have happened. Simple. Now let's see what they actually do. #TorySewageParty #Sewage
Disastrous day for the water companies oh well never mind. The free ride is over. #TorySewageParty #StoolBritannia

What the hell have I just watched. #idiocracy #ClimateEmergency
I am off to grow some concrete. 🤦🏻‍♂️
Love how this idiocy has got the late great Mel Smith trending. This interviewer could so easily be him in a sketch from Not the Nine O'Clock News. #idiocracy #ConcreteMike #InsulateBritain #ClimateCrisis

Following allegations of Russian interference in our #BrexitBritain democratic processes, here’s ‘Rule Britannia’ cheekily re-imagined as a Russian romantic piece, complete with Soviet nostalgie colour scheme. 🇷🇺 🎼

I love the #StoolBritannia hashtag. 😂💩
There is possibly a series of Soviet treatments of popular #flagshagger 🇬🇧 tunes to be done actually.

Good call. It was a silly and terrible appointment.

He’d better update his LinkedIn 😬
Don’t worry, I’m sure he’ll get a job in PR.

I detest Frost's contemptuous attitude to the EU. These are our friends, bonded by history, culture and multi-national families spanning a vast continent. They are our biggest trading market and our closest allies. What the hell are we doing here?
#BrexitHasFailed #BrexitBritain
Absolutely risible, almost paralytically drunk interpretation. #BrexitDenial
It’s appalling bad faith. How can anyone negotiate with a government that behaves in this way? No agreement will have any trust or meaning.
