Death in 0.002%
#LongCovid in 2-5% (still learning)
#MIS-C 1/3500 cases (most common in 5-11 age group)
Let’s remember kids rarely die so this is on par with other diseases we prevent with #vaccination

✅We expect myocarditis rates to be even lower in this age (cases in 12-17 yo almost all mild and self limited)

6/ So how does this compare to other #risks we mitigate day to day? Permit me an analogy.
Every year in 🇨🇦 around 30 kids (5-14 yo) die in 🚘 crashes. A tragic but rare outcome. However, I have been buckling up my kids for the last 13 years- every time- I suspect you have too.
