The #ConvoyForFreedom2022 decided to block Marine Atlantic's entrance with their convoy. Keep in mind this does not consist of any semi's. All I could see was the same #antivaxxers who have been covid denier's for the last year in local social media groups. /1

I decided I would drive over to see who was involved and why? @nsgov clearly released an injunction against any blockades or 'slow roll convoys'. Why would these guys just blatantly ignore that? So I put my 'trigger' mask on and headed down after a 20 min drive. /2

Some "Freedom Fighters" decided to walk up in support at the bridge. When I asked what they are supporting I was told "freedom for our children". I replied with "your children look pretty free to me". The person quickly turned and walked away. /3

After examining the crowd on the road I decided to head on down and just have a look-see. I asked an officer if he would mind me documenting who is involved in the blockade and he gave me the go ahead. People from @FreedomNova noted me approaching after our last encounter. /4

The man in the middle b4 recognized me as well as the "keyboard warrior" who constantly makes him look bad in #antivaxxers debates. I replied "there is no keyboard here, I am standing right in front of you". Then things became very irate because of my "face diaper". /7

This is when I put my phone down. I was surrounded with a wall to my back. 'Joe', who can be seen here from last week, approached. He asked "Mike, why don't you stand with us man." I replied with "I stand with the healthcare workers." /8

He got in my face and said:

What was most disturbing to me is how all this hooting and hollering was happening in front of little children with flags. Not my kids though so if they think all that is appropriate while calling me the "bully" and the "racist". Well, ok. "Freedom" right. /12

The RCMP had to come up and ask if I would mind leaving because they are becoming too aggressive and irate. I said "no problem and sorry". Then all the #antivaxxers started to cheer because the big bad guy with a face diaper was leaving. "Peaceful" though. /13

Like #OttawaOccupied they just need to pee guys, ok? Not a single person could tell me why I am a racist or a bully for standing there. Kept screaming it over and over. I asked if they had trouble reading the local newspaper? Clearly, they did. /14
