In the first 2 weeks, Russia declared its goals: Ukraine recognises Crimea as Russian territory; Remain neutral w/o joining western military alliance, including NATO; Prevent the flow of strategic weapons; not become a nuclear state & recognise the Donbas province as independent.
NATO trained the Ukrainian army, supplied it with selective weapons to fight the armoured Russian troops, & offered full propaganda coverage demonising Russia & presenting Ukrainians as heroes. An opportunity the US wouldn’t miss to gather many anti-Russian supporters behind it.
In #Ukraine, Washington is directing the battle because its generals wanted to avoid the experience of #Afghanistan and how the Afghan army delivered Kabul without fighting when President Joe Biden expected it to fight for “six months”. Ukraine is doing exactly what the US wants.
Probably, Russia did not expect to see Ukraine resisting in the manner in which its forces did. It is difficult to guess if the Russian military command did not possess sufficient intelligence, mainly when the West did not hide the flow of various lethal weapons to Kyiv.
Regardless of Russia’s ability to bear the significant human losses and the destruction of military equipment (because it is a numerous manufacturer of weapons in all its forms) details of the battles from the Russian perspective were not offered.
The expectations of the Russian generals were not up to the desired standard according to the outcome of the battle. Nevertheless, a Russian deceived war plan diverting the attack from the primary objective can’t be revealed to the enemy. It can be deducted only after the war.
Either Russian military leaders modified their military plans after the first four weeks of the war, refraining from entering a frontal formation to achieve the goals and opening a land corridor between Crimea, Donbas and Russian territories.
Or the Russian showed outstanding military deception, carrying out a military manoeuvre to deceive the enemy by attracting a large number of the Ukrainian forces from the Donbas area into #Kyiv to defend it, thinking that the occupation of Kyiv was top of the Russian priority.
In this case, the military manoeuvre has diverted the world’s attention, and weakened the Ukrainian army in Donbas, allowing the Russians & the separatists to control a considerable part of the province.
The Russian military leaders have recalled the army spread on multiple fronts and reduced the forces in the north, near the capital, Kyiv, to deploy them in the east and south, declaring modest goals in comparison to what was shown - not declared - at the beginning of the attack.
At no time did Russia say its objective was to occupy the capital, although all indications and the gathering of large troops in Kyiv vicinities led to this conclusion. All western leaders, mainly the US, say that Russia "failed to occupy #Kyiv" is a false narrative.
In the last two weeks of the battle, Russia resorted to using its precise missiles and air force – except for the infantry attack inside the southern city of Mariupol – to compensate for the losses it incurred by entering the cities on the northern front.
It is also clear that President Putin does not want to add more soldiers to the force he pushed at the beginning of the battle. Therefore, Russian Generals used a different method of fighting after accepting the process of attrition exposed in Ukraine.
Thus, the theatre of operations has become much smaller than in the past weeks, allowing all goals to be achieved and keeping the Russian army on the battlefield until #Ukraine signs a treaty accepted by #Russia.
The Ukrainian army is considered a force that Washington – whose generals are running the battle from Ukraine’s neighbouring countries – can rely on for attrition and prolonging the struggle, but not, of course, to defeat the Russian army.
Therefore, #US leaders have publicly stated that they aim for Russia to pay a heavy price in the war and nothing more. No leader can say that #Russia will lose the battle or not achieve its objectives. All that they repeat is that "Russia should pay a heavy price."
Therefore, the astonishing element comes from #Ukraine leadership that is asking for more weapons to fight #Russia and make sure that more Ukrainians are killed or imprisoned or even worse, become wounded (heavy on the long-run economy, mainly handicaps).
It is not clear why #Ukraine - that is told you won't win the war - is refusing to submit to #Russia's conditions that it may end up signing in a few weeks or months. The longest the battle lasts, the more damaging will be to the Ukrainian population and military personnel.
#US, #UK & EU countries acknowledged that sanctions on #Russia won't stop the war but aim to cripple the prosperous Russian economy. This means #Ukraine's only chance to stop the war is to negotiate because the outcome is far from being a surprise. It is only when the war ends.
#US-led @UN General Assembly has Folkloricly voted to suspend Russia from the world organization’s human rights body over unconfirmed allegations of rights violations by #Russian soldiers in Ukraine, disregarding scientific & official investigations of all parties involved.
In October 2020, #SaudiArabia, the #US and #EU best ally, at the UN Human Rights Council. Then what happened?

Nothing.

This is another confirmation that UN bodies are US-manipulated and no longer reliable.

We know
The manipulation strategy the #US used in the infowar against #Russia: “It doesn’t have to be solid intelligence,” one U.S. official said. “It’s more important to get out ahead of them [the Russians], Putin specifically, before they do something."

Notwithstanding the US effort to get an overwhelming majority, bullying countries to show it is leading, When 93 voted in Favour & 83 abstained and were against, are clear indications that the world is not all behind the #US and that the "International community" is not the West.

Assessing the Combat in Ukraine: Learning from the Mistakes ejmagnier.com/2022/04/06/%ef…
It is time to learn how @telegram works.
Be aware:

There is no "International order".

There is a "US order" and the west follows and is totally submitted to it. The US is not "the International". It represents 5% of the World's population but bullying the world.

It is more clear to me that #Russia is no longer aiming to push forces in the north or towards the capital #Kyiv but concentrating on the east side of the Dnipro, mainly ALL of Donbas on the east and the south of #Ukraine.
The @UN body has lost any power or function. The UN (western) General Assembly is expected to vote tomorrow on suspending Russia from the Human Rights Council, but still, the #UK refuses to hold a UN session to discuss all war crimes committed in #Ukraine.
The Primary #US objective is for #Russia to lose the 15 Yrs of prosperity & cripple its economy. The US gives a damn about #Ukraine, happy to provide weapons as long as Ukrainians fight & die. Ukraine is happy to speak to EU parliaments & see people dying for America's prosperity

Worth reading through but contains disturbing images.

Excellent read by Scott @RealScottRitter: The truth is the first victim in every war. And those who believe insults can intimidate anyone to tell the truth, you are dead wrong. On the contrary, the effect is the opposite.

The #US President @JoeBiden:
"Harsh sanctions on #Russia, boycott energy and commerce; Europe can pay more for the US gas and stop importing the Russian one; suspend Nord-Stream 2.......but we and only we can keep buying the Russian oil".

€17 billion of EU funds to help Ukraine refugees. #Europe is spending, facing an increase in prices of all goods, above all gas and facing a huge refugees crisis because its leaders can't say to the #US leadership: we don't agree to be part of your war with #Russia in #Ukraine.
Interesting: Why did the #UK reject a Russian call for a UN SC to discuss "Bucha massacre"?
It is because the UN role is dead or there is no evidence but the one presented on social media?

Russia asks U.N. Security Council to discuss Bucha 'provocation' reuters.com/world/europe/r…
Mainstream media are asking their reporters (many of my colleagues told me so) to write about Bucha "no matter if true or not. Just write a story about it".

So all are asked to join the quorum without relying on an official international and independent investigation.

So, instead of a #Russia "chemical attack", the western community is pushing forward the "war crime" rhetoric.

Why I am not surprised?

So predictable because it comes from the same playbook.
The Western leaders who judge a social media video as a "war crime" coz many are saying so are not only idiotic but dangerous manipulators.

Those who promote this kind of rhetoric without a proper independent investigation, represent the ultimate ignorance, to say the least.
President Trump, France and the UK launched 59 Tomahawks against #Syria due to a fake video manipulated by actors and shared on social media.
When UN inspectors investigated the claimed "attack", it turned out to be fake.

The same western players are in #Ukraine today.

EU leaders tell China 'not to interfere' with #Russia sanctions and expect Beijing to help end Russia’s war in Ukraine or ‘not to interfere with western (not international and not sanctioned by the UN) sanctions imposed on #Moscow.
euractiv.com/section/eu-chi…
The #EU countries suddenly, after two years, remembered to hold talks with #China and "expect" #China to remain on the side.

The #EU leaders, submitted to the #US, received no significant response or assurances from #Beijing.
Since when has the EU spoken positively about #China?

#EU leader Ursula von der Leyen warned that Beijing would suffer “major reputational damage to the European public and its business environment if it sided with Moscow over Ukraine or refrained from taking a clearer stance."
