Let's start Day 213 with #Russia's total losses after 7 months. On average 264 soldiers are being killed every day. The ratio between deaths and injured/disabled means if #Ukraine's estimates are correct likely 200,000 have been lost to the military
1/2 I am now prepared to back stories some media in #Russia and #Ukraine have been reporting that the Kremlin is trying to conscript over a million new recruits through #mobilisation.
Russia promised 300,000 and even that seemed high. This was clearly possible through reservists
2/2
Seeing the volume of recruits in some places plus many witness testimony videos of young men swearing they've never had any military connection shows #Putin was lying about "partial #mobilisation"
We can also see many over 50s forcibly drafted. No wonder men flee #Russia.
Freed Briton Aiden Aslin @cossackgundi has posted his first video since returning to the UK.
He was among 5 Brits and 10 foreigners freed in the Prisoner exchange deal (in which Bloomberg says Roman Abramovich was the middleman)
Aiden asks us to remember those still in 🇷🇺jails
I've just checked the situation at #Russia-#Finland border. Things seem calm - almost normal now.
Chat sites say on average about an hour to cross.
Last night Finland tightened entry regs.
Clearly not repairable in a short time. No sign of the pontoon bridge unless this video was shot from there.

Still big queues at #Russia's border with #Georgia.
Considering my research proves not many call-ups from St Petersburg/Moscow, not surprising it's much busier than the Finnish border.
Young Russians dump cars in traffic jams & cross on bikes or on foot
An horrific tale from a woman who says she is traumatised in #Ukraine.
The only way this nightmare ends and doesn't return in a few years is to defeat Putin. Please support #Ukraine and its soldiers so we can stop the nightmares and treat those with PTSD
The "voting" has continued today in the four temporarily, partially occupied regions. But in #Donetsk and #Zaporizhzhia regions explosions were reported.
#Mariupol' had two blasts according to mayoral adviser Petro Andryushchenko while there was also an explosion in #Berdyansk.
In #Russia the President's address will be this coming Friday. It's likely then the official announcement of the annexation of the 4 regions of #Ukraine into the RU Federation.
There are rumours Putin may also introduce Martial Law, especially in view of today's protests.
Reports of a few skirmishes between new conscripts and police today.
Reuters published this photo after locals in #Omsk said fighting broke out.
It's alleged the mobilised men demanded the police "come and die with them in the trenches."
Just to clarify, if you have already made a pledge, you are still eligible. So if you gave £100, we need £101 more, or if you donated £200, just an extra £1 will do it, but feel free to give more if you can afford it.
Sunday 25 September, Day 214 of #Russia's war of choice. Imagine a leader choosing to send over 50,000 of his countrymen to death and calling up another million, against a peaceful nation which never fired on, nor invaded anyone!
It's believed #Ukraine has killed another collaborator in #Kherson.
Former Deputy of National Affairs Oleksiy Zhuravko is one of the victims after missiles destroyed this hotel populated by Russians. He was twice an MP in Ukraine before moving to Russia in 2014. #StopRussia
From pathetic Putin's ramblings/partial mobilisation, to the street protests in #Russia, to the prisoner swap deal which saw all 5 Britons released, ending with Zelenskyy's focused and powerful, history-making speech at the #UN
⚡️#Russia's soldiers sexually assaulted a 4 year old child.
⚡️🇷🇺embassy in Canada firebombed
⚡️Big (suspicious) fire in 🇷🇺 city
