That @BharatBiotech published a vaccine pack insert and a summary of product characteristics (SMPC) shows to me that they are very far along in the release process.
The primary course vaccine has been authorized in India, we are still waiting on authorization of booster use.

Disclaimer: I am only a lawyer / #Covid protection activist. I hope that scientists look at the data & give their input.
However, I have discussed the the data with a virologist friend of mine who does not tweet. He says the data is very good news.

According to him the data is very good news for the following reasons:
1) The data show that #intranasal / #mucosal #covid19 vaccines work. This is very important! We might now see a race to make even better ones.

@BharatBiotech has not released the mucosal immune response data yet, I hope the will do so soon.
But if a vaccine is applied in the nose, usually the immune system first mounts a response there, and then it is mounted in the blood.

So conversely if there is an immune response in the blood serum, there must very likely be some in the mucosa, if the vaccine was applied intranasally.
And mucosal immunity should give a much better "first-line-of-defense"-protection.

The hope is thus that #SARS2 does not really enter the body, and already gets defeated in the mucosa (nose/mouth/throat). Or if the virus does enter the body, much less of it enters.

We now need the full trial data to see how many people who had the nasal vaccine were infected (efficacy data).
My virologist friend does not expect this vaccine already to have sterilizing immunity (protect against all infections). It is still based on the original strain.

But because of the added mucosal immunity, he expects it to be a step up to the current intramuscular vaccines.
I expect a race to start now. It's very easy to apply (also for people who fear needles!) and can be stored between 2-8 C.
