A warning that for the next few days the updates may be a little slower than normal, or go missing completely - dependent firstly on my travel and secondly on power/connection in #Ukraine.
Today is my first return since February.
Thanks to those who already sent good wishes
It's a special day in #Ukraine too - The Day of the Armed Forces.
There is literally a day for anything and everything (a Soviet relic), but today is very important, especially in current times
To all the heroes, helping the Armed Forces in any way - we salute you. #HeroiamSlava
It was noticeable that most, if not all, #Russia's missiles were launched at sea - even bombers from Saratov flew towards the Caspian before unleashing their deadly load
A military expert says it's because so many old missiles fail and will fall in water: 24tv.ua/rosiyski-raket…
The latest satellite photos from @Maxar of the Engels airbase in #Russia are interesting.
Here you can compare the new image with one a week ago. It seems fewer aircraft and activity (though it's a small sample size) and are those scorch marks on the ground from explosions?
Regional Russian puppet Volodymyr Rogov made the claim.. It's impossible to prove which side is firing on the plant, but the truth is Russians shouldn't be there at all
Just wow.
The @UN Security Council is to hold a meeting on #Ukraine.
#Russia, which started the illegal war, and has kidnapped thousands of Ukrainian kids, is to "raise the issue of child protection"
This makes me really, really angry!
A news group in #Melitopol' reports another collaborator has probably gone to visit the good ship Moskva!
They say Kolya Volyk was likely killed in explosions this morning at the airfield just outside the town.
At the start of Day 287 I crossed the border and I'm still on the train as the snow gets heavier and thicker.
If anyone wants to buy me a coffee I'd be very appreciative. Dyakuyu!
A fairly quiet night in #Ukraine - but as always if you need to catch up on yesterday's news, it's all in one handy place. Here's the start of yesterday's thread:
Again a relatively quite night in the #RussiaUkraineWar. but still news coming up of rocket attacks by Russia and more heavy losses for the invaders.
All the news, all day, in one thread, read on!⬇️
As always, a quick link for yesterday's thread in case you missed anything, such as the #USA naming the #Wagner group and another rebellion among #Russia's newly mobilised (cannon fodder)
I estimated 100,000 Russian soldiers would be killed shortly after the "western"/Catholic Christmas. Now it looks like it will happen just before then as high losses continue for #Russia
As well as another 500+ killed, an uptick in drone hits and a helicopter brought down.
Here is the daily thread for Day 281, with #Russia now 9 months behind schedule in its plan to conquer #Ukraine & kill the democratically elected President.
Thursday's already started violently. News on the latest attack on Ukraine and all the developments in one handy thread⬇️
If you missed anything from yesterday, including evening explosions in occupied #Donetsk, here's the start of Wednesday's thread - scroll through at your leisure!
