I'll start with #Russia's losses on the battlefield (as estimated by #Ukraine)
Numbers still well done on peaks. A number of factors: awful weather, and highly likely the invaders are short on cattle/soldiers and ammo meaning fewer attacks across the frontline.

I've had a lot of replies about @Wimbledon's decision to allow players from #Russia and #Belarus.
I said it was inevitable because the LTA was in an impossible position. There was the very real threat of losing Grand Slam status. Even losing ranking points really hurts...

.. some players from other countries would not bother turning up and then you lose sponsorship and a whole lot of other income. The whole of tennis in the UK would be in jeopardy.
My info is the Govt forced Wimbledon to enact the ban last year, but accepted the 2023 change.

It is designed for 4 years, with the cash being used to support reforms and integration of Ukraine into the EU as well as easing urgent needs of the people during war.
