The UK's daily intel report inspects the rails of #Russia after the spate of sabotage attacks recently. These attacks far more believable than the pantomime drone strike on the Kremlin.
So to the daily losses and if #Ukraine's figures here are anywhere near accurate it's a very, very encouraging sign for them for the imminent offensive.
#Russia's troop deaths top 600 again, but look at the number of artillery/MLRS/vehicles destroyed, way above the daily mean:
Not only is #Putin President of the Terrorist State, he's one of the richest men in the world. Sitting atop a mafia clan, with each layer extorting cash and favours from the one below.
@NeneOriginal shared this story with me which shows just one example:
#Ukraine's morning situation report says all the hospitals in the Occupied Territories are full of #Russia's wounded as they continue to suffer massive casualties.
The main attacks and attempts to advance have been in #Bakhmut and #Lyman with "60 attacks repulsed"
Last night #Ukraine embarassingly shot down one of its own drones in #Kyiv after it malfunctioned.
However, in #Dnipro they shot town two more #Russia attack drones, while in the wider region more devastation in #Nikopol with 10 houses hit by shelling.
Interesting tactic from #Prigozhin last night.
The founder and expoiter of mercenaries lined up rows of #Wagner bodies, killed in the #Bakhmut region and blamed #Russia's Defence Minister and Head of the Army.
The video titled "Losses of PMC Wagner for 4 May 2023." #StopRussia
As part of #Ukraine's "Army of Drones" project, 10,000 UAV operators have been trained.
A spokesman said"The drone army is about the comprehensive development of the field of UAVs both from the point of view of production and from the point of view of their application."
Another attack this morning on #Russia's Ilsky Oil Refinery.
A drone, likely Ukrainian, hit the site for the second time in 2 days
Is #Russia at it again?
Already charged with #WarCrimes by the I.C.C., confirmation from #Zaporizhzhia that kids are being forcibly evacuated from occupied towns in the region.
This is happening today in #Polohy + #Tokmak. At the moment being taken to #Berdyansk not Russia yet.
1/2 Following his overnight rant, #Wagner chief Yevgeniy Prigozhin now says his mercenaries will withdraw from #Bakhmut in 5 days.
“On 10 May 2023, we are forced to transfer positions to units of the Ministry of Defence”
English subs by @vidtranslator (Papal Fortress = Popasna)

It's another long shouty statement by #Wagner owner Yevgeniy Prigozhin, who continues to posture for position as the "sole, true hero of #Russia" as people jockey for position to replace #Putin, whose days are now numbered with a clear victory unlikely.
Here's part 2:
#Russia admits the news I posted y'day about the massive hit on its forces in #Luhansk
State agency TASS shows video from the "meat processing plant" (insert your own joke) in #Alchevsk
Look, they brought meat for the cameras, but it's still frozen and untouched by HIMARS!🤡🤡
1/4 More governors in #Russia are cancelling parades for Victory Day.
I've already mentioned this is the biggest holiday in Russian psyche (except for New Year). The regions are citing "terrorism" risks which is a useful smokescreen in my opinion.
So what are the reasons?
2/4
The most obvious reason is so much military equipment has been destroyed in #Ukraine or still being used there, that the flagship military parade of the "mighty" #Russia¦n army will look embarrassingly weak.
There's also the shortage of personnel with almost 200k dead.
3/4 A key (lesser known) part of #Russia's celebrations, is the 'Immortal Regiment' parade.
People bring photos of those who died fighting in war(s) for the country/#USSR
But there's panic that so many will bring photos of dead in #Ukraine the true scale of losses will be seen.
4/4 In Occupied #Donetsk today they've tried to get around the problems with an 'auto' Immortal Regiment "parade".
Flags and banners on cars commemmorating the World War II victory, with no pesky pictures of those 1000s who've died in occupied #Ukraine!
For the first time, #Ukraine managed to shoot down one of #Russia's "invincible" Hypersonic 'Kinzhal' missiles.
The Ukrainian specialist Defence Express publishes proof of the landmark achievement the night before last, presumably with Patriot Defence:
#Kherson region is being hit with guided aerial bombs again this lunchtime.
A church building's reportedly destroyed in #Vesele.
One person's injured with 20 homes badly damaged.
No photos yet, but pics are released of #Russia's attack yesterday on a factory in #Beryslav.
#Ukraine media are now reporting that Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ignat denies the downing of a Kh-47 "Kinzhal" missile.
#Russia has sentenced a former soldier to 13 years jail for Treason
Sgt Artem Semenov's trial was held behind closed doors and little is known about what he's alleged to have done. He was serving in Belgorod when detained: the offence said to have happened before the war started
Photos of the damage done in #Kyiv by the drone which fell on the capital when #Ukraine shot it down, saying it was one of their own, but malfunctioning.
I maintain Ukraine's forces did not know this when they shot, as it was dangerous to do so over a heavily populated area.
In #Russia "Mash" media says today's fire at the Ilsky oil refinery was caused not by a drone, but by saboteurs, who've been caught by police.
Managers at the oil depot say saboteurs blew up the fifth installation with the help of IEDs.
It's not known if there were casualties.
Reports a drone "attempted to attack" an Aeroflot Airbus A320 as it was landing at #Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport.
A passenger on the flight from Samara said the UAV "dangerously approached" aiming at the side of the plane before flying away just before touchdown.
The fake "head" of occupied #Zaporizhzhia confirms my earlier news about evacuating children.
But Yevgeny Balitsky now says there will be a "partial evacuation" of 18 villages. Most notable is the town of #Enerhodar where the country's biggest nuclear power station is built.
#Ukraine's arrested an infamous pro-Russian blogger who says he's originally Chilean but is thought to be an American citizen. "Gonzalo Lira" has lived in Kharkiv for many years.
The last tweet must be extra infuriating for #Wagner owner Prigozhin.
He's crying about not being given ammo. Meanwhile #Ukraine rubs it in with Deputy Defence Min. Hanna Malyar quietly announces they've destroyed enemy ammo stores in #Bakhmut and doesn't believe they're leaving
If you are citizen of the Commonwealth, Happy Coronation Day, or if you're a Republican, just enjoy the weekend😅
This is the daily thread for Saturday with all the news in one thread, updated throughout the day.
Let's start in occupied #Crimea, where chat sites make pleasant reading this morning:
08:04 "A loud bang was heard in the #Krasnogvardeyskoye district"
08:05 "a good roar sounded. Dzhankoy-Krasnogvardeyskoye"
08:05 "strong 'cotton' in Krasnogvardeyskoye."
Here's what was seen
#Russia's Occupiers on #Crimea insist air defence worked in the north of Crimea "there were no casualties or destruction"
Oh but then the Kerch Bridge was unexpectedly closed. Guards told these people "threat of an attack" but later authorities say it's "for technical reasons"🤡
Some breaking news, we are learning about repeated explosions in #Zaporizhzhia this morning.
S-300 anti aircraft missiles again being used by #Russia to attack civilians, but monitoring groups say one exploded just after launch, before it crossed the frontline.
It's noisy.
The weather has improved in #Ukraine. But though the ground may be drying out a little on the frontline, conditions are still incredibly tough.
An early start to Wednesday's daily thread because Ukraine is under attack again.
All the news, all day in one handy thread.
See link in my bio if you want to buy me a coffee💙💛
There was so much news on Tuesday.
You can review or catch up on what you missed right here, with the start of yesterday's thread, with stories about another train sabotage in #Russia, more fires, and how the man who killed Litvinenko in London suffers..
Hello & welcome to Day 432 of #Russia's illegal war in #Ukraine.
A new day, a new month; for many countries a public holiday so enjoy your day and check back here for the latest updates.

Did you have a busy Sunday and miss something?
Here's a chance to catch up on what you missed, such as more attacks on #Ukraine, another sacking by #Putin and partisans in #Moscow plus more...
A quiet start to the day and I don't "pad out" the thread with inconsequential stories.
But I know a lot of people like to see the daily losses for #Russia (published by #Ukraine). But even here we see much lower numbers in the last 24 hours.
